Charity Manager and Editor, Daniel Weldon
Daniel is a soon-to-be graduate of Finlandia University in Michigan, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. His studies, focusing on social theory, environmental sociology, philosophy and public policy, have influenced his professional skills greatly. As a result, identifying key social issues, highlighting viable solutions, and prioritizing equity and philanthropy are his strong suits, which blend well with Woodaeckson’s mission.
Furthermore, spending time in desolate wilderness in Canada and traveling across the United States all satisfied his love for travel and adventure. “Being aware of ever-present ethical issues in the United States and around the world drew me into working with Woodaeckson, and helping to make an impact. Moreover, Woodaeckson allows me to be a part of a great team and help provide a refreshing alternative to normal consumer products, all while contributing to great charities!”
Daniel is working on closely aligning Woodaeckson with Stand for Trees, a charity that seeks to rebuild deforested areas in vital ecological habitat. “Pledging ten percent of profit to these charities is a commitment we are very proud to embark on.” Daniel is also responsible for writing Woodaeckson’s blog and news content, so be on the lookout for environmental news on our website and social media pages.
